Cannington College invest in a brand new TW 230HB DIESEL

Cannington College based in Somerset are one of the leading colleges offering Arboriculture Level 2 and Level 3 courses in the UK. The course offers young people the chance to learn the practical skills and valuable theory knowledge to join the sector as they start their careers.

As part of their studies, they are training on how to use the most important kit in the industry including wood chippers. The team at Cannington College recently took delivery of a brand-new TW 230HB DIESEL, thanks to our dealer Landpower Machinery, to aid their students to learn how to operate a wood chipper safely including maintaining and servicing the machines as well.

Ben Jarvis, Practical Instructor at Cannington College understands the importance of giving the students access to the best kit, saying: “It’s nice to be able to use a piece of new quality equipment that is so often used in the industry that the student are already familiar with. It’s a massive bonus from our point of view.”

Adam, who is currently studying Level 3 Forestry and Arboriculture at Cannington College, told us why he’s chosen a career in arboriculture: “I’ve always liked climbing, that’s what sort of drew me into it, and I’ve always liked machinery so it’s the perfect mix.”
