As the name suggests, wood is the only thing suitable to put through a wood chipper. Wood chippers are regularly used for minimising tree branches and brash into wood chip.
We don’t recommend using your wood chipper for chipping old pallets but if you do, make sure all nails and metal components have been removed ahead of chipping.
Keeping your wood chipper well maintained is key to making sure it stays reliable and powerful to complete the job.
As stated in your owner’s manual, there are some key daily and weekly checks that can be undertaken at the end of the working day/week to keep your Timberwolf happy; this includes making sure your blades are sharp, belts are tensioned correctly and your machine is well lubricated.

It is important to service your wood chipper after every use, and you’ll also find other service intervals within your manual.
First service by a Dealer should be conducted at 50 hours then depending on engine fitment either every 100 or 200 hours interval or annually.

Depending on the model Timberwolf wood chippers run on diesel, red diesel or petrol up to E10. If storing petrol machines for an extended period and you use E10 fuel it is recommended to check the quality of the fuel on a regular basis.

There are different engine oil types needed dependent on what engine your wood chipper has.
These are stated as the following:
Kubota – 10W-30 or 15W-40.
Briggs & Stratton – 10w30, Synthetic 5W-30 or Synthetic 15W-50.

The type of hydraulic oil needed for Timberwolf wood chippers is: VG32.

It is important to remember to grease your wood chipper after every use, this will help to keep your machine running to the highest standard.

In the early years of Timberwolf we did produce a number of shredders however now we manufacture wood chippers only.
Shredders are commonly used for small garden waste including green waste, hedge clippings and brambles; compared to a wood chipper that is used for bigger, heavier wood based materials.

IQANgo is a free application that connects to the wood chipper via Bluetooth and allows electrical faults to be identified quicker than using conventional diagnosis.
IQANgo is a standalone application which allows connection to Timberwolf chippers fitted with our new Chipper Control Unit (CCU) and a Bluetooth module.
IQANgo can be downloaded for free from Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Once downloaded, open the app and select Bluetooth as the connection type.
Use XXXXXX as the passcode to approve the Bluetooth connection.
No, it is currently only included on the TW 280HB HYBRID and TW 280FTR HYBRID wood chippers.
As we develop and integrate our Chipper Control Units (CCU) into future developments, there will be the opportunity to include remote technology into those too.

Our industry first 5-year warranty means that your wood chipper is covered giving you extra peace of mind to focus on your business.

Timberwolf offer a 3-month warranty on parts fitted by the customer and a 12-month warranty if fitted by an authorised Timberwolf dealer.

We encourage our users to have their wood chippers serviced by an authorised Timberwolf dealer, however this is not compulsory.

If you have purchased our extended 5-year warranty then servicing must be undertaken by an Authorised Timberwolf Dealer during this contractual period.
