OTM Groundscare Celebrate 20 Years with Timberwolf

Tim Metcalf, and his brother Ollie, established OTM Groundscare in 2006 and have been part of the Timberwolf pack for almost 20 years. Starting out with original Entec woodchippers, the team at OTM Groundscare have grown their fleet to include our brand-new 8” tracked diesel wood chipper.

Now operating with around 30 employees, OTM Groundscare cover the Welsh border of Herefordshire offering arboriculture services in the domestic and commercial sectors.

Tim Metcalfe, owner for OTM Groundscare, spoke about the success of running his business over the last 20 years: “We’ve always been very focused on kit, having the right kit for the job and very mindful of investing heavily in the right machinery and people. If you’ve got the right staff around you, it makes life so much easier.”

After recently adding the TW 280FTR DIESEL 8” tracked wood chipper to their fleet, Tim told us what has impressed him about the machine so far after its spent three months on a roadside contract:

“We were very impressed with the technology that Timberwolf have put into the chipper. There are some lovely aspects to making the life easier for the operator like the jack alongside the tracks – if we have a track thrown off, we can just jack up on site and don’t need any additional tools.”

“It takes the operator a lot more gently than other chippers on the market.”
